Podolski to Man City - back on?
Podolski to Man City - back on?
German striker Lukas Podolski could be set for a move to the Premiership as Man City are reportedly still interested in signing the Bayern Munich striker who is reportedly very unhappy playing second fiddle to Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose.
Podolski's agent Kon Schramm told calciomercato.com: "Leaving Bayern will be difficult, but not impossible. He has a contract until 2010 and the club is not willing to let him go. In January came an offer exceeding £15 million from Manchester City, which was returned to sender by Bayern."
Man City would be prepared to even improve their offer should Podolski be allowed to leave; and Sven-Goran Eriksson has already reiterated his intentions to sign one top quality striker this summer as Rolando Bianchi looks set for a permanent move back to Italy.
