Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on Everton forward Richarlison ahead of a potential move for his signature in January.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has placed a keen emphasis on recruiting young players to the squad and the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire were pursued during the summer.

According to Evening Standard, the Red Devils are likely to spend on a new forward at the turn of the year and Richarlison is one of the players being monitored.

Richarlison has largely featured on the left side of the attack this term but he has shown in the past that he is versatile enough and can lead the line with decent success.

The Brazil international bagged 13 goals for the Toffees last term and one of those came against the Red Devils. He has been inconsistent this season but has still managed five goals and a couple of assists.

Aside from Richarlison, Red Bull Salzburg's Erling Haaland and Lyon's Moussa Dembele have also been linked with the club but it is unclear whether they can land any of their forward targets at the midway stage of the campaign.
