Willian delivers fresh update on his Chelsea future
Chelsea winger Willian has said that he is content to remain with the Blues but he has yet to receive a contract proposal from the west London giants.
Willian has been almost ever-present under Frank Lampard since September and he has started the last nine games for the Blues in the Premier League.
In this period, he has scored a couple of crucial goals including the winner at Lille in the Champions League and Lampard has personally stated that he would prefer to renew the contract of Willian.
Speaking to BT Sport, Willian has revealed that he has yet to renew his contract with the Blues but he is hopeful of receiving an offer on the table in the coming months.
"No, not yet. Honestly I'm happy here. I feel happy to play for this club but this situation is not in my hands. It's in theirs. I wait for them. They know what I want, what I want to do. They already know so I wait for them," he told.
Willian's current deal with the Blues is set to expire at the end of the season and the club are said to be assessing their options before discussing an extension with him.
The Blues are optimistic of overcoming their transfer embargo by December and it will be interesting to see their stance on Willian, suppose the ban is lifted in the near future.
