Ronaldo wants world prize

Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he hopes to one day lift the World Player of the Year gong. Ronaldo has single handedly lead Man Utd to top of the league in the Premiership with an impressive goalscoring record; and hopes to continue the scoring feat.

"The focus is on winning the Champions League and the Premier League. We have the opportunity to do that and we have the players," Ronaldo told the News of the World.

"But of course it's my aim to be the best in the world. I want to be the best in the world and that's what I work towards every day.

"But only God knows whether I will one day manage to win that prize which is so important for me as a player.

"The United team is playing very well at the moment but we need to be strong in the remaining games of the season and keep our concentration."
