Borussia Dortmund chief updates on Jadon Sancho link with Chelsea
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has clarified that the club are unlikely to sanction the sale of Jadon Sancho in January amid the widespread interest from Chelsea.
Sancho has been a revelation for the German giants over the past 18 months and in the current campaign, he has already amassed nine goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
Despite this, there has been the talk of him making a possible return to the Premier League amid claims that he has a mixed relationship with manager Lucien Favre.
Speaking to Bild, Zorc has now clarified that Dortmund have not changed their transfer stance on Sancho and the England international is expected to remain with the club for the campaign.
"We're continuing to plan with him. He's a fundamental player for us and I do not see any scenario where he leaves us," he was quoted as saying by the German publication.
Chelsea have recently been tipped to make a £100m bid to land Sancho and it remains to be seen whether they can reach a similar transfer agreement to that of Christian Pulisic whereby the forward could be loaned back to Dortmund for the rest of the season.
