Rooney drives United forward

Manchester United 4-0 Aston Villa The Red Devils extended their Premier League lead to six points with a four goal strike against Aston Vila.

The match was fully dominated by United and Aston Villa never got a sniff at the ball. Wayne Rooney was the master craftsman scoring 2 goals and controlling the entire game.

Rooney looked a lot more mature than he is and played the game with discipline and composure. He thoroughly enjoyed the match and showcased lot of skills. His finishing skills, passing ability and composure made him different, helping him to dictate the tempo of the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also enjoying the game flicking the ball either side though he misjudged some passes trying to be too cute. Ronaldo put them ahead in the 17th minute and Carlos Tevez doubled the scoreline, powering a header into the Villa goal.

The second half show United controlling the whole game with a perfectly designed gameplay that suited everyplayer. It was as the advertisement boards read - "Pinpoint passing, Deadly Shooting", Wayne Rooney showed why he is regarded as one of the best scoring twice in the second period.

He controlled a lofted ball and neatly dodged past a defender and rounded keeper Scott Carson in the 53rd minute and driving a Ronaldo back heel flick into the goal at the 70th minute.

Aston Villa's only clear chance came late in the last quarter when Shaun Maloney missed a sitter and struck the bar.

This win will see United top of the league as before and will be a huge boost before the clash against Roma in the Champions League.
