Christian Eriksen to join Man Utd in January?
Christian Eriksen is reportedly in talks with his agent and representatives of Man Utd regarding a January transfer window move. The Danish international has long been linked with a move from White Hart Lane to Old Trafford, the major stumbling block remains the fact that Tottenham will demand a fee of around £55 million.
Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy is known for being a ferocious transfer negotiator and is fuming that he has been unable to agree a new contract with Eriksen. However, the Dane has been very clear that he would like to leave North London as he hopes to add trophies to his impressive CV.
Eriksen's contract at Tottenham will expire in July 2019 and the club do not want Eriksen to leave on a free transfer and are hoping to redeem a transfer fee in January if the player departs the club.
Eriksen has been a loyal servant to Spurs but is frustrated in North London. There are numerous teams that have expressed interest in Eriksen, but it is understood the creative midfielder would prefer to stay in England.
