Chelsea make £44.4m bid for Real Madrid attacker?

Chelsea to sign Isco?

Chelsea are reported to have tabled a bid of around £44m to land the services of Isco from Real Madrid in January.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has confirmed the need for reinforcements at the beginning of the year and the club are likely to pursue at least one attacker.

The likes of Jadon Sancho and Timo Werner have been linked with the club in recent weeks but El Desmarque claims that Isco has now emerged as their prime attacking target.

It is added that the Europa League holders have already tabled a £44.4m offer for the Spain international and they are optimistic that Los Blancos will accept their package during the winter transfer window.

Isco has been used sparingly from the starting lineup this term and in terms of the Spanish top-flight, he has managed just five starts under the guidance of Zinedine Zidane.

The Spaniard's position with the national team continues to remain in the balance ahead of next summer's Euro 2020 finals and he may be forced to pursue a fresh challenge to receive regular playing time.
