Manchester United to miss out on signing Juventus star?

Manchester United are reportedly set to miss out on the signing of Juventus forward Mario Mandzukic during the forthcoming transfer window.

The Croatian was heavily linked with the Red Devils prior to the summer transfer deadline but no deal was struck before the window closed.

Mandzukic has since been regularly associated with a move to the Mancunian giants but Goal.com claims that he is unlikely to head to Old Trafford at the beginning of 2020.

The same publication states that Mandzukic is due to decide on his future in the next few days and he is leaning towards a move to Qatar, where he has the assurance of regular playing time.

Mandzukic has failed to play a single minute of football for the Bianconeri this term. He is expected to be available for a nominal fee next month with his contract scheduled to expire at the end of the campaign.

United have recently found form in the attack front with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood in the goals but Solskjaer is still said to be eyeing another centre-forward to add to the squad.
