Manchester United interested in Barcelona defender?

Manchester United are understood to have made contact with Barcelona earlier this week to discuss a possible move for Jean-Clair Todibo.

The France Under-20 international only joined the Blaugrana on a free transfer over the summer but he has struggled for gametime and has managed just one start in the Spanish La Liga.

As a result, he has already been linked with a mid-season move to AC Milan but it appears the Rossoneri could face competition from the Red Devils, according to Sport.

United have utilised Victor Lindelof and summer signing Harry Maguire at the heart of the defence this term but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is open to adding more competition for places.

Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are some of the immediate back-up options at hand for the manager but the latter has been linked with a possible exit in either January or at the end of the campaign.

The Red Devils are presently four points behind the top four in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants are scheduled to face Watford on the road on Sunday afternoon.
