United want two players in January

Manchester United are reportedly keen on making two additions to the squad when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.

The Red Devils have endured a mixed campaign in the top-flight and they are presently four points adrift of the four in the league standings.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has regularly stated that he is content with the current options at hand but Goal.com claims that the club have plans of recruiting at least two players next month.

It is added that Erling Haaland and Christian Eriksen are among the main targets for the Mancunian giants with the main focus on adding more creativity in the attacking department.

Haaland has been touted to pursue a big-club move in the New Year but it is unclear whether United are in the running to sign the Norwegian international from Red Bull Salzburg.

On the other hand, Eriksen seems a more viable option with his contract at Tottenham Hotspur expires in June 2020 and he has been fancied to leave Spurs for a bargain fee in January.
