Manchester United prepared to part ways with experienced defender
Manchester United are reportedly prepared to sanction the sale of Marcos Rojo when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
Rojo was heavily tipped to leave the Red Devils during the summer but his move was blocked by the intervention of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Argentine has since made nine appearances in all competitions but he is currently on the sidelines with an injury picked up earlier last month.
According to ESPN, the versatile defender is currently in his homeland but he is 'on standby' ahead of a potential switch away from Old Trafford.
Rojo has more than 18 months remaining on his present deal but the club have the option of extending his stay for another 12 months, if required.
United are said to be open to permanent or loan offers for the defender and it remains to be seen whether Everton or Fenerbahce revive their transfer interest.
The Toffees were heavily linked with the Argentine last summer but a deal did not materialise as the Red Devils were reluctant to accept a loan move back then.
