Arsenal looking into deal for Champions League winner?
Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in landing the signature of defender Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich during the ongoing transfer window.
The 31-year-old has made 15 appearances for the German champions this campaign but reports have emerged that he is more than open to sealing a fresh challenge.
According to Sky Germany, the north London side have made an initial enquiry for the centre-back, who has previously won the Champions League with Bayern.
Boateng's current deal with the Bavarian giants expires at the end of next season and he could be available for just £12.75m during the current transfer window.
Boateng has been regularly utilised in the big games for Bayern this term after the season-ending injury for Sule and it remains to be seen whether the club are willing to sanction his sale.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are looking at the prospect of bringing William Saliba from his loan stint at Saint-Etienne but they are entirely dependent on the French club as they don't have a recall clause inserted into the temporary deal.
