Chelsea willing to pay big for Frank Lampard's prime target
Chelsea are reportedly willing to come up with a renewed approach for Lyon star Moussa Dembele with manager Frank Lampard likening his style of play to Didier Drogba.
The Blues have already failed with an opening bid worth £34m for the Frenchman and Les Gones have since released a statement clarifying that the striker won't be sold during the January transfer window.
Despite this, Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth claims that the west London side are still in the hunt for the former Celtic man and Lampard has urged the club to try their best to lure the promising striker from the French Ligue 1.
Dembele has enjoyed a good season with Les Gones where he has amassed 10 goals and three assists and he has become a more important figure for them, particularly with the long-term injury to Memphis Depay.
Les Gones are currently languishing in the 12th spot on the table but they are within seven points off the Champions League places. As a result, it appears unlikely that Lyon will change their transfer stance on the player unless a significant offer is made by the Blues.
