Manchester United after Wolves star following Haaland snub
Manchester United are reportedly looking at the prospect of signing Raul Jimenez from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the ongoing transfer window.
The Red Devils were recently touted to land Erling Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg but the teenage sensation decided to snub their advances to join Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
As a result, the club are set to switch their attention elsewhere in the search for a new marksman and Goal Mexico claims that Jimenez is now the prime target for the Mancunian giants.
Jimenez has progressed into a regular goalgetter during his 18-month spell with Wolves and in the current campaign, he has already netted 17 times in all competitions.
Aside from Jimenez, Timo Werner from RB Leipzig is also said to be on their radar but it is unclear whether the Bundesliga side will sanction his sale with them at the top of their league standings.
Manchester United are currently five points adrift of the Premier League top four following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on New Year's Day.
