Italian manager eyes Man Utd job
Italian manager Max Allegri is reportedly interested in the Manchester United job, claims the Mirror.
The ex-Milan gaffer was highly linked with a move to Arsenal for a while, but it was to no avail in the end.
Allegri has now set his sights on United, wanting to become the successor of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Norwegian manager has endured quite a disappointing season so far despite making some productive signings in the summer.
While the Red Devils have stunned the top clubs, they had been exposed to lower sides in the Premier League.
Allegri was sacked by Juventus last summer citing his inability to produce results in the Champions League. Maurizio Sarri took the reins following his departure.
The 52-year-old Italian is one of the successful managers in Serie A, and his highly known for his pragmatism.
Solskjaer is looking for reinforcements following the defeat against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League table and will take on Norwich City this Saturday.
