Manchester United face blow in signing Dutch star
Manchester United have reportedly received a transfer blow with Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek on the verge of agreeing a summer move to Real Madrid.
The Netherlands international was recently linked with a mid-season switch to Old Trafford but he came out in public to stress that he is committed to the Dutch champions.
Still, the midfielder hinted that he may leave the club in the summer and Mundo Deportivo reports that Los Blancos are close to reaching an agreement over a £47m deal with Ajax for the Dutchman.
It is added that an announcement could be made in the next few weeks, thereby ending the constant speculation regarding the midfielder's next move after leaving Ajax.
Manchester United missed the chance to close the gap on the top four after a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on the road. They are presently five points adrift of fourth-placed Chelsea and face Burnley in the midweek league clash at home.
