Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly said to be eyeing a short-term signing to overcome the injury absence of top scorer Marcus Rashford.

The Red Devils are expected to be without Marcus Rashford for at least two months after his double stress fracture in his back and that has left Solskjaer with just Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as the options to lead the line.

The club have already ruled out a January move for Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain but The Mirror claims that they are still eyeing a new striker on loan for the rest of the season.

Borussia Dortmund's Paco Alcacer, AC Milan's Krzysztof Piatek and Real Madrid's Luka Jovic are some of the options available for the Mancunian giants before the transfer window closes next week.

Manchester United are currently five points behind Chelsea in the pursuit of the final Champions League spot. They host Burnley at home in their forthcoming Premier League game.
