Arsenal want Wolves star to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Arsenal have reportedly earmarked Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez as a possible replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the end of the season
Aubameyang has less than 18 months remaining on his Gunners deal and so far, he has shown no indication that he would be prepared to extend his contract with the north London side.
Of course, the Gabon international has dismissed the speculation over his future through the programme notes earlier this month but there are still doubts whether he sees his long-term future at the club.
According to The Sun, Jimenez has caught the eye of the Gunners on the back of his impressive displays with Wolverhampton Wanderers, whom he joined from Benfica on an initial loan deal last season.
The 28-year-old has already contributed 13 goals and eight assists in the Premier League and Champions League combined this term and the Gunners will be tempted to make an approach, particularly if Aubameyang is offloaded during the summer.
Manchester United have recently been linked with a winter move for the former Benfica man but Wolves are quite clear that they won't sanction the marksman's sale until the summer at the least.
