Man Utd revive interest in long-time target after Bruno Fernandes failure
Manchester United have reportedly turned their attention towards Leicester City midfielder James Maddison in the aftermath of the failure to bring Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford.
The transfer saga between the Red Devils and Bruno Fernandes appears to have come to a halt as the Portuguese midfielder is unlikely to join them in January.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has, in fact, turned his attention towards long-time target Maddison, and is also hopeful of bringing him to Old Trafford in the transfer window.
The 23-year-old continues to pay dividends for the Foxes as he has racked up six goals and three assists so far in Premier League this season. He also tends to be pivotal for Brendan Rodgers’ side, who are currently third in the points table.
United are going through a rough patch as they have picked up back to back defeats against Liverpool and Burnley.
However, Solskjaer is optimistic that the Red Devils could push for two or more signings in the on-going transfer window.
Mancunians find themselves behind Chelsea in the Premier League table. They will next face Tranmere in FA Cup fourth round game.
