Chelsea to miss out on signing Dani Olmo?

Chelsea are reportedly set to miss out on the signing of Dani Olmo from Dinamo Zagreb with the winger said to be tempted by the prospect of joining RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

The Spain international has been heavily linked with a Premier League move with the Blues and Wolves this month but AS claims that Leipzig have jumped ahead of the race to land his services.

It is added that the Bundesliga side are prepared to meet Dinamo's demands for £38m plus add-ons for the attacker and the proposed transfer should be finalised before the end of the month.

The Blues have been on the search for an attacking player this summer but the board are quite clear that they won't pay over the odds for anyone at the current phase of the season.

As a result, there has been no transfer activity despite their embargo being lifted but the Blues are likely to announce the arrival of at least one player before next week's deadline.
