Manchester United will make the attempt to sign James Maddison from Leicester City in the summer despite the fact that they have bolstered their attack with the signing of Bruno Fernandes.

Fernandes joined the Red Devils from Sporting Lisbon prior to the January transfer deadline and he recently made his debut during the Premier League clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

According to Evening Standard, the Mancunian giants have their sights on signing Maddison from the Foxes in the summer even though he operates in a familiar number 10 role to Fernandes.

Maddison has amassed nine goals and three assists for the Foxes this season and reports have previously cited that United will have to come up with a bid of around £80m to land his services in the summer.

Aside from Maddison, United have also been credited with an interest in Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho but they could face stiff competition from Frank Lampard's Chelsea.
