Lautaro Martinez prefers Barcelona over Man Utd

Manchester United are likely to miss out on Inter striker Lauro Martinez as he prefers a move to Barcelona, reveals Daily Mail.

Red Devils and their cross-town rivals Manchester City turn out to be one of the potential suitors, but the Argentine is interested in playing alongside his compatriot Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.

The 22-year-old has set the Serie A alight this season, scoring 11 goals in 20 outings for Nerazzurri. He also bagged 5 goals in the UCL group stage even though his side failed to qualify for the next round.

Martinez reportedly holds a release clause worth £110m, which could be triggered only during the first two weeks of July.

Elsewhere, Barca have also identified the Argentine striker as the ultimate successor to Luis Suarez, who is in the twilight of his career. The Catalans intended to sign him during the winter change but it was not the case.

Even in a recent interview, Barca's Sporting director Eric Abidal suggested that a deal could be possible for Martinez in the summer.
