Ajax have reportedly reached an agreement with Sao Paulo over the signing of teenager Antony, according to Goal.com.

The Brazilian midfielder is touted as the replacement to Hakim Ziyech, who will leave Amsterdam at the end of this season to Chelsea.

The report adds that Ajax have agreed on a deal worth €20 for Antony – which will make him the club's expensive signing since Ziyech.

Antony, 19, carries a similar profile to that of the Morrocan attacker, playing from the midfield to the attack. He will move to the Eredivisie at the end of this season.

Having racked up a total of 4 goals and 6 assists for Sao Paulo in the Brazilian Serie A this season, Antony also averages 1.3 key passes and 2.4 dribbles per game, which clearly shows his playmaking abilities.

Ziyech’s transfer marks Ajax’s third biggest one in the space of a year following the departures of Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt to Barcelona and Juventus respectively.

Furthermore, Donny van de Beek has also been linked with a move to Real Madrid.
