Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur to compete for Real Madrid star's signature
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly still interested in signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.
The Welshman has been in and out of the plans of Zinedine Zidane due to form and fitness concerns but agent Jonathan Barnett has cited that the 30-year-old will see out his contract at the Bernabeu.
However, there continues to be constant speculation regarding his future and Marca claims that both United and Spurs are looking at the possibility of luring him to the Premier League
Bale currently has more than two years remaining on his contract and it is reported that Los Blancos may accept a fee of around £54m to sanction his sale in the summer.
Still, none of the clubs are likely to meet the staggering £600,000-a-week wages and Los Blancos may need to compensate for the rest of the contract in order for Bale to take a significant paycut elsewhere.
