Manchester United are reportedly weighing a summer move for Canadian forward Jonathan David, who has been in exceptional form for Gent during the current campaign.
The 20-year-old has been on the radar of multiple European clubs this season and Porto are deemed to have failed with a £5m during the summer transfer window.
According to The Mail, Gent are likely to permit the sale of David in the summer and that could trigger a bidding battle with the likes of Arsenal, Leicester City and Everton also interested.
David, who can playing across the attack, has bagged 22 goals from just 37 appearances for the Belgian outfit this term. He has been capped by Canada on 12 occasions and has impressed with 11 goals in the process.
Gent are likely to demand a fee of around £26m for the emerging star. The Red Devils are due to send scouts to watch the forward in action against AS Roma in the Europa League this week.
