Chelsea want Oblak to replace Kepa?

Chelsea have reportedly contacted Atletico Madrid over the possibility of signing goalkeeper Jan Oblak during the summer transfer window.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has recently opted for Willy Caballero between the sticks after taking the decision to drop Kepa Arrizabalaga, who has been inconsistent with his displays.

According to El Chiringuito, the Blues are prepared to part ways with Arrizabalaga in the summer but they are fearful that they may not receive the entire £72m fee paid for his services from Athletic Bilbao in 2018.

As a result, they are looking to include the Spain international as a makeweight to land Oblak and they have enquired with Atletico regarding that possibility.

It is added that the Blues are willing to offer £25m plus Arrizabalaga for Oblak but Atletico may demand a higher fee, given the former's value has dropped in recent months.

Caballero has started the last two Premier League games for the Blues and he could feature in goal when the Blues entertain Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie tonight.
