Manchester United boss confirms fresh injury blow

Martial out injured ahead of Brugge clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed a fresh injury blow with Anthony Martial sidelined with a muscular injury picked up in training.

The Frenchman has been in good form following the winter break and has scored in three straight games for the Red Devils in all competitions.

However, Martial was not included in the matchday squad to face Club Brugge on Thursday night and speaking prior to the game, Solskjaer confirmed an injury setback for the attacker.

"He didn't feel right after the training yesterday, or (rather) he walked off during training and he's injured. So hopefully it won't be too bad but I don't really know yet how long he'll be," he told via Goal.com.

United have recently seen an improvement in the fitness record but they are still without key players such as Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford at the present point of time.

Pogba may return to action by the middle of March following an ankle surgery but Rashford could possibly miss the rest of the season after a double stress fracture in his back.
