Inter Milan to swoop for Chelsea defender this summer?
Inter Milan will reportedly make the attempt to sign Marcos Alonso from Chelsea with manager Antonio Conte keen on strengthening his wing-back options.
The Serie A side are said to be eyeing a new left-wing back during the summer despite the fact that they signed Ashley Young from Manchester United in January.
According to Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri have dropped their interest in landing Emerson and they will now focus on luring his teammate Alonso from Stamford Bridge.
Alonso's father has recently hinted that the defender could make a return to the Serie A and it remains to be seen whether the Blues will sanction his sale in four months' time.
Alonso has been vulnerable to defensive mistakes from the left side of the defence but he has fared exceptionally well since Frank Lampard's decision to move him to the left wing-back spot in a 3-4-2-1 formation.
He has netted three goals from the previous two Premier League appearances and that includes the brace at Bournemouth which salvaged a point for the Blues.
