Chelsea quoted price to sign Brazilian defender

Chelsea will reportedly have to come up with a bid of around £34.5m in order to land the services of Alex Telles from Porto this summer.

The left-back has made more 175 appearances for the club since joining them from Inter Milan in 2016 but he has recently rejected a new contract beyond the summer of 2021.

As such, the Portuguese outfit are bound to consider his sale at the end of the season and A Bola claims that they have set a price tag of £34.5m for the Brazil international.

Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri are currently the specialist left-backs at Stamford Bridge and the former has recently found form while operating in the left wing-back role.

Still, both have been linked with possible exits from the club, particularly with Frank Lampard wanting to play with a four-man backline next season which does not seem to suit Alonso.

Telles has been known to be an attacking left-back during the course of his career. He has been in sublime form this season and has contributed eight goals and six assists in all competitions for Porto.
