Mikel Arteta provides an update on Dani Ceballos' future
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the club have yet to discuss the possibility of signing Daniel Ceballos on a permanent basis from Real Madrid this summer.
The Spain international joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from Los Blancos in July 2019 and he has since made 22 appearances - out of which 13 have come in the Premier League.
A recent report from Marca claimed that the north London side had begun negotiations with Los Blancos over a permanent deal for the midfielder with Arteta having been impressed with the recent displays.
However, speaking in a press conference, Arteta has denied the speculation by stating that the club have yet to engage in any talks with the Madrid giants, he told: "We haven't had any conversations."
Ceballos only made his first appearance under Arteta in late January but he has since earned three league starts on the bounce. He is expected to feature in the centre of the park when the Gunners host West Ham United tomorrow.
