Real Madrid plot £70m summer move for Man Utd ace
Real Madrid are reportedly set to revive their interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
The Spaniard has had his fair share of critics this season for his string of sub-standard performances.
According to The Sun, Los Blancos, who are De Gea’s long-term admirers, are eyeing a summer move worth £70m.
The 28-year-old's keeping woes have continued for the second straight season and he has secured only 7 clean sheets in the Premier League this term.
De Gea took the centre-stage once again in United’s last fixture against Everton, where his goalkeeping error eventually resulted in a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Madrid’s interest in De Gea comes as a surprise given Thibaut Courtois’ excellent form this season.
The Belgian No.1 has redeemed himself after a forgetful debut season, topping the clean sheet charts in La Liga this term with 12.
Furthermore, the ex-Chelsea man has put up some top draw performances against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.
Zinedine Zidane’s men are currently leading the league table after the 2-0 win in El Clasico.
