Ivorian winger open to Chelsea transfer this summer
Ivorian winger Jeremie Boga has opened the door to rejoin Chelsea when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.
The 23-year-old parted ways with the Blues to join Sassuolo in 2018 after managing just one competitive appearance for the west London side.
Over the past 20 months, Boga has shown good progress in his career and in the current campaign, he has contributed eight goals and four assists in the Serie A.
Speaking to Athletic, Boga acknowledged that he could not break into the first-team at Chelsea due to the presence of Willian, Eden Hazard and Pedro.
He added that contributed to the decision to pursue a permanent challenge elsewhere but he would be open to returning to the Blues in the future.
"When I was there, it was Willian, [Eden] Hazard, Pedro. When [Jose] Mourinho was there, it was [Mohamed] Salah," the Ivorian told.
"It has always been if I can't play, then I will try to go on loan or try to go somewhere to improve, then maybe come back one day."
Boga was sold to Sassuolo for £2.8m in the summer of 2018. The Blues have the option of re-signing him by triggering the £13m buy-back clause.
