Arsenal looking into deal for French striker

Arsenal in for Celtic striker?

Arsenal are reportedly plotting a summer move for Odsonne Edouard, who has been in splendid form for Celtic during the current campaign.

The Frenchman joined the Hoops from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 and he has since established himself as the undisputed striker.

According to The Mirror, the Gunners are looking into a deal for the 22-year-old, who has bagged 27 goals and 19 assists in all competitions for the Hoops this term.

The same publication cites that the move won't be dependent on the future of club-captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been fancied to head through the exit door this summer.

Aubameyang's future has been the subject of speculation with his contract expiring in June 2021 and there have been suggestions that he could be sold unless he signs a renewal.

Similarly to Aubameyang, Edouard's current deal with the Scottish champions expires in 16 months' time and he is likely to be available for a fee of around £30m when the transfer window reopens.
