Chelsea star admits club have refused to meet his demands
Brazilian winger Willian has confirmed that Chelsea have refused to meet his demands for a fresh three-year contract.
The 31-year-old has been with the Blues for the past six-and-a-half years and during this period, he has contributed a tally of 59 goals and 59 assists in 329 appearances.
He has remained a regular under Frank Lampard during the current campaign but his future with the club remains uncertain with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.
Speaking to Fox Sports, Willian acknowledged that the Blues have declined to meet his requirements for a three-year deal but he remains hopeful that the club's stance will change.
"Three years, Chelsea said it would be impossible, so for now there's this difficulty, but nothing is impossible. We don't know what can happen, suddenly we could make a deal and get it right," he told.
Willian has contributed seven goals and six assists for the Blues this term. Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are among the high-profile teams, who are planning to make contract offers to the attacker.
