Everton planning club-record move for Serie A striker
Everton are prepared to pay a club-record fee to land the signature of Andrea Belotti from Torino during the summer.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a Premier League move over the past few years but a deal has not necessarily materialised.
According to Tuttosport, the Italian may be heading for a fresh challenge next season and the likes of Roma, Inter Milan and Napoli are monitoring his situation.
However, it is claimed that the Toffees are leading the hunt to sign the Italy international and they are willing to pay a club-record fee of £52.5m to lure him to the Premier League.
The Merseyside outfit have had Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin playing upfront under Carlo Ancelotti and the latter has impressed with his scoring form.
Still, Richarlison is seen as more of a winger and Ancelotti is keen on pursuing a high-profile striker with experience, who can take the club to the next level.
Belotti has netted 85 goals from 179 games for Torino over the past four-and-a-half years. The Serie A outfit have previously rejected bids for Belotti which have been below the £88m release clause in his contract.
