Inter Milan want Manchester United forward?

Inter Milan could reportedly make an approach to sign Anthony Martial from Manchester United, should Lautaro Martinez head through the exit door.

Martinez has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and reports have emerged that the Spanish champions are in constant contact with the player's representative.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are already looking into a possible replacement for Martinez and they have identified Martial as their prime target.

The Frenchman was the subject of interest from the Nerazzurri a couple of years ago but they were unable to convince United to sell him in a part-exchange deal for Ivan Perisic.

Martial has largely operated on the left side of the attack for United but he has been the regular in the centre-forward position this term following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Inter.

So far, he has netted 16 goals from 34 games in all competitions and it is highly unlikely that United will sanction his sale unless they bring in a high-profile marksman to take his spot.
