Arsenal could reportedly revive their long-term interest in Paris Saint-Germain's Julian Draxler when the transfer window reopens.

The German has struggled to earn regular gametime at Les Parisiens and he has been restricted to only 19 appearances this season.

Draxler was sidelined with a foot injury during the early phase of the campaign but he has since been left on the bench on multiple occasions, which has led to suggestions that he could move on.

According to Foot Mercato, the Gunners are looking at the possibility of signing the former Schalke youngster as they seek to find a competitor to Mesut Ozil in the attacking midfield role.

However, the 26-year-old may have to take a paycut on his £120,000-a-week wages, given the Gunners may not afford the figure, should they fail to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has already admitted that he is unsure regarding the nature of the summer transfer window and there is the possibility that the club may not make any new signings at all.
