Samuel Umtiti makes Barcelona transfer decision
French defender Samuel Umtiti is keen to fight for his place with Barcelona despite the rumoured interest from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
The centre-back has managed just 11 appearances in the current league campaign where he has played second fiddle to Gerard Pique and Clement Lenglet.
It has previously been claimed that the Blaugrana may sell him for a reduced £26m fee, given his regular injury concerns since the beginning of last season.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in signing him but it appears that the centre-back has no intention of parting ways with the Spanish giants, Sport claims.
Umtiti has more than three years remaining in his existing deal with the Blaugrana and he is said to be 'baffled' by the repeated suggestion that the club could sanction his sale during the summer.
Umtiti has managed 114 appearances for the La Liga holders since his move from Lyon in 2016. His gametime has slightly improved with the arrival of Quique Setien as the club's manager earlier this year.
