Chelsea consider move for Barcelona star
Chelsea will reportedly make the move to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona after losing out in the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The west London giants have been monitoring the progress of Sancho over the past year but it appears that they are trailing in the player's pursuit after Manchester United reportedly agreed personal terms.
According to ESPN, the capital outfit are now considering an approach for Coutinho, who is expected to return to the Camp Nou once his loan stint with Bayern Munich concludes.
Coutinho's agent has already talked about the prospect of a Premier League return for his client and reports claim that the Blues will propose a season-long loan deal for the ex-Liverpool man.
Chelsea have already secured the services of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax. They are likely to pursue another three players in the transfer market but their spending could be limited amid the financial impact due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
