Chelsea enter the race to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Chelsea have reportedly joined the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United in the race to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal this summer.
Aubameyang has yet to commit to a new contract with the Gunners and that has raised the possibility that he could be sold later in the year with only 14 months remaining in his existing deal.
United, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan have already been credited with an interest and Bleacher Report claims that the Blues are planning a formal approach for the forward.
Aubameyang has been a huge success for the Gunners despite their struggles in the Premier League and he has managed 49 goals in the division from just 74 appearances.
The Gunners are reluctant to sell Aubameyang to a direct domestic rival but they could be tempted to do so, should any side come up with a significant transfer package for their marksman.
Aubameyang is currently valued in the region of £45m but former Gunners favourite Charlie Nicholas has urged the club to demand around £100m, should he be put up for sale during the next transfer window.
