Arsenal enter talks to sign French attacker?

Nabil Fekir news

Fekir to replace Ozil?

Arsenal are understood to have retained their long-term interest in Nabil Fekir, who is currently with Real Betis in the Spanish La Liga.

The Frenchman has been linked with the Gunners for a number of years but the club have not made a serious attempt to land his signature.

He was offered to them for just £22m last summer but they are said to have ignored him to sign Daniel Ceballos on a season-long loan from Real Madrid.

As a result, Fekir made the move from Lyon to Betis and he has impressed for the Spanish outfit with seven goals and six assists from 22 league appearances.

According to L'Equipe, the Gunners are considering a fresh approach for the former Lyon man as they seek to improve their attacking options for next term.

Mesut Ozil is approaching the final phase of his Gunners career and reports claim that Mikel Arteta wants an attacker in his prime age to be added to the squad.

Fekir is capable of playing anywhere in the attack. He has managed to feature for Betis on the left wing, right wing and the number 10 position this season.
