La Liga midfielder wants to join Arsenal this summer
Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has made it clear that he wants to sign for Arsenal when the transfer window reopens.
The Ghana international has made nearly 180 appearances for Atleti over the past five years but he is said to be eyeing a fresh challenge next term.
According to The Guardian, the 26-year-old has no plans of signing a new contract with the Spanish outfit and any interested side could trigger the £45m release clause on his contract.
It is added that Partey is keen on proving himself in the Premier League next season and he would fancy the switch to long-term admirers Arsenal.
The north London side are presently not in a position to meet the buyout clause of Partey due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
A swap deal could possibly be an option for the Gunners. Of late, Alexandre Lacazette has been fancied to leave the club and he could be offered in exchange for Partey.
