Newcastle United looking to beat Everton to the signing of Serie A winger
Newcastle United are reportedly aiming to beat Everton in the race to sign Hirving Lozano from Napoli during this summer's transfer window.
Lozano made the high-profile move to Naples from PSV last summer but he has since struggled to impress with just three goals from 23 outings.
As a result, he has been linked with a possible departure from the Italian side and Area Napoli claims that the Magpies have entered the race for his services.
The Tyneside outfit are currently on the verge of a £300m from PCP Capital Partners and reports claim that they are prepared to meet Napoli's £35m price tag and offer the player with attractive wages to join them.
Lozano has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United but the Red Devils no longer appear to hold an interest. Instead, they are focusing on landing the signature of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
Newcastle United have been fancied to make a number of big-name signings ahead of next season. Still, their spending could be restricted due to the Financial Fair regulations.
