Manchester United are understood to be relaxed over the prospect of Odion Ighalo leaving the club at the end of the month.

Ighalo joined the Red Devils on a four-month loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January in order to fill the void left by Marcus Rashford's injury.

The 30-year-old has since bagged four goals and one assist from his eight appearances for the club and this has made him a favourite among a section of the fans.

In recent weeks, United have looked at the option of extending Ighalo's loan contract beyond May 31 but it appears that they have been unsuccessful with Shanghai wanting him back in their squad.

According to Sky Sports News, United are not overly concerned over Ighalo's future, considering Rashford has recovered from his back problem and is expected to return after the coronavirus shutdown.

Rashford has bagged 19 goals over the course of the current season. This is already his best-ever return from a single campaign and he has the chance to add to his tally in the coming months.
