Arsenal enter the race to sign Serie A striker

Arsenal enter Milik pursuit

Arsenal are set to compete with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus in the race to sign Arek Milik during the summer.

The Gunners are considering the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer amid his reluctance to sign a new contract beyond June 2021.

Suppose he leaves, they are likely to be in the market for a new striker and Corriere dello Sport claims that the club have entered the race for Milik.

Milik has spent nearly four seasons with Napoli in the Serie A and he has bagged nearly 50 goals from 109 appearances in all competitions.

His current deal is due to expire at the end of next season but so far, there has been no progress over a contract renewal with the Italian outfit.

Hence, reports suggest that he could be sold in the next transfer window but Napoli are set to demand around £45m to sanction his sale.

Mikel Arteta's side face stiff competition from Spurs, Atletico Madrid and Juventus and they are unlikely to have any room for negotiating the transfer fee for the marksman.
