Everton looking to sign Roma striker?

Everton are looking at the possibility of signing Roma defender Patrik Schick during this summer's transfer window.
The Czech Republic international joined RB Leipzig on a season-long loan from Roma last summer and he has bagged seven goals and two assists from 16 league outings for the club.
The German side have the option to buy him permanently for £26m but there are doubts whether they will trigger the clause amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Toffees are keeping a close eye on the situation and they could be prepared to make a move, should Leipzig decline to sign Schick permanently.
It is added that they may negotiate a lesser fee of around £22m for the marksman, who has previously been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
Schick has more than two years remaining on his contract with Roma. The Serie A outfit are presently in a financial crisis and find themselves with the need to offload their out-of-favour players.
