Chelsea boss updates on club's transfer plans
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has hinted that the club could make a few additions to the squad during the next transfer window.
The west London side were not permitted to make any new signings last summer due to a transfer ban but they were able to overturn the embargo before the turn of the year.
Still, they decided against making any new purchases during the winter transfer window but they have an agreement in place to sign Hakim Ziyech from Ajax at the end of the season.
Speaking to the club's magazine, Lampard said that he is excited with the young squad at his disposal and is looking forward to making a few additions in the areas of concern.
"I'm certainly excited about the squad we've got, with the young players and if we can get a few additions for areas I feel we need," The 41-year-old was quoted as saying by the club's official website.
Chelsea are presently fourth in the league standings with 48 points on the board. They could face Aston Villa on the road when their season resumes after the coronavirus shutdown from June 20.
