Manchester United to compete with Liverpool for Wolves attacker
Manchester United could reportedly go head-to-head with Liverpool in the race to sign Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Red Devils are on the search for a new wide player this summer and they have been linked with Jadon Sancho for a number of months.
However, they are currently far off from meeting Borussia Dortmund's £100m price tag for the 20-year-old and it is reported that they could give up on the pursuit.
According to Transfer expert Duncan Castles, United have identified Traore as the alternative target but they could face direct competition from arch-rivals Liverpool.
Traore is currently enjoying his best-ever season at the professional level and he has been one of the standout performers for Wolves with four goals and nine assists in the Premier League.
Wolves are not actively looking at the sale of the former Barcelona graduate, but reports have previously claimed that a bid of around £50m could tempt them to sanction his sale.
