Mesut Ozil makes Arsenal transfer decision
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is determined to see out the remainder of his contract with the club before pursuing a fresh challenge elsewhere.
The German started every league game under Mikel Arteta between January and March, but he has failed to earn any playing time since the restart after the COVID-19 break.
As a result, he has been fancied to head through the exit door, but The Sun claims that may not happen this summer with the 31-year-old prepared to see out the final 12 months of his deal.
Ozil is currently the highest-paid player at the north London side at £350,000-a-week deal and he has come for criticism from some of the supporters for his average displays this term.
He has contributed only one goal and three assists in all competitions this season. A number of clubs in the MLS and Turkey are keeping tabs on his situation, but he seems content to stay put with the Gunners until his contract expires next summer.
